Merchandiser Analyst

As Product Merchandising Analyst, you will play a key role within the Product Merchandising team, providing the analysis, insight and tools needed to support commercial decision making across the FitFlop product portfolio.
Working closely with the Head of Product Merchandising and Product Merchandisers, you will analyse sell-in, sell-out, product performance, forecasting and margin, turning data into clear commercial insights and recommendations.
You will develop and maintain reporting and BI tools, support seasonal planning by segment and create forecasting tools that enable the team to make informed decisions at key stages of the product lifecycle.
The Responsibilities:
Product & Commercial Analysis
Deliver regular sell-in and sell-out analysis, identifying key trends, risks and opportunities.
Analyse product performance by season, segment, category, product family, market and channel.
Track key commercial KPIs including sales, units, ASP, margin, productivity and mix.
Provide clear commentary and recommendations to support Product Merchandising and Product team decisions.
Deliver post-season analysis and learnings to inform future product strategy.
Seasonal Planning & Forecasting
Support the Head of Product Merchandising in developing seasonal range plans by segment, aligned to the wider product strategy.
Develop forecasting tools to support the Product Merchandising team at key seasonal milestones.
Forecast and track units, sales, ASP, margin and mix from initial range planning through to final adoption.
Provide scenario analysis and highlight gaps, opportunities and risks against seasonal targets.
BI, Reporting & Tools
Develop, maintain and improve BI dashboards and reporting, ideally using Power BI.
Create efficient, user-friendly tools that give the Product team clear visibility of product and commercial performance.
Automate reporting where possible to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Work with relevant teams to improve data quality, consistency and reporting processes.
Margin & Range Optimisation
Support the Product Merchandising team in driving and protecting margin across the collection.
Analyse the impact of cost, pricing, ASP, mix and product architecture on margin.
Identify margin risks and opportunities throughout the seasonal lifecycle.
Support range optimisation through analysis of productivity, performance and commercial potential.
The Person:
Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to turn data into clear insight and recommendations.
Experience in a merchandising, commercial analysis, retail, fashion, footwear or consumer product environment.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or another BI/data visualisation platform is highly desirable.
Good understanding of sales, sell-in, sell-out, forecasting and commercial performance.
Strong understanding of metrics including sales, units, ASP, margin, productivity and mix.
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
Able to communicate complex analysis in a simple and commercially relevant way.
Proactive, curious and comfortable working cross-functionally.
Able to look beyond the numbers to understand what is happening, why it is happening and what we should do about it.
