Footwear Fitting Model - China

We have an exciting opportunity for a hard-working and organised Footwear Fitting Model to join our APAC Product Team, based from our office in Dongguan.

As we grow our Product Development team, we are hiring for a Footwear Fitting Model to be based in Dongguan, working closely with our Product Development teams in China, Vietnam and the UK, as well as our wider Global Product Teams including Merchandising, Research & Development and Design.

The Responsibilities:

  • Report to Fit Technician to perform shoe fitting with different parties, and provide actual fit comments for the styles:

Development Stage:

  • Provide fit comments on Proto, RR1, RR2, SMS, Final Fit, with photographing indication (done by the Fit Technician) for all participants further evaluation

  • Provide fit comments in revise sampling stage, giving a solid comparison fit comments through the development stage from proto to final fit

Commercialization Stage:

  • Provide fit comments on graded size, PP, IPT on sample size

  • Provide fit comments at each stage, given solid comparison fit comments to final fit sample

Production Stage:

  • Provide fit comments on production shoes on the sample size

  • Give slide comparison fit comments to final fit samples

  • Work with Fit Technician, share constructive feedback with Design, Innovation, and Product Development teams to achieve the best possible fit

  • Partner with the Fit Technician to ensure all feedback and improvements are correctly and accurately captured in the FIT and WEAR TRIAL reports

  • Record the notes of fitting comments for review, and respond to fitting reports with the Fit Technician

  • Support on components library maintenance management

  • Fitting products, analysing, and offering recommendations for improvements

  • Day to day ad-hoc administration responsibilities

The Person:

  • Size Requirements: UK Size 5D

  • Foot Length: 237mm, Joint Girth: 233mm. Instep Girth: 225mm

  • Highly interested in footwear and fashion and an understanding of how footwear should fit and feel

  • Highly organized and reliable, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast paced role

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced global team

  • At least 2-4 years of relevant experience as a Fit Model preferred

  • Knowledge of basic footwear terminology so to explain when there is a fit issue and communicate with fit technician and other participants during the fit session.

  • Must maintain foot shape and measurement within a ¼ " of approved measurements, to ensure fit consistency

  • Must meet specific measurement requirements.

  • Track and manage Fit Schedules with Fit Technician and cross functional partners to ensure scheduling and prioritization of fittings are aligned with the Product Calendar and business deliverables.

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand Design Aesthetic, Brand Fit and Construction Standards and provide consistent, professional feedback.

  • Patient, and adaptable

  • Clearly communicate fit issues

  • Must be willing to be measured and photographed (not for commercial use)

  • Good PC skills using MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other computer program tools

  • Language: fluent in English, spoken and written

  • International travel required
