Accounts Payable Assistant (FTC)

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our small Accounts Payable team within our Global Finance department. This is an experience-led role for someone who can hit the ground running and stay effective in a fast-moving environment. The team is in the middle of a significant change programme, transitioning from Navision to NetSuite, so you’ll need to be highly agile and adaptable — comfortable with evolving processes, shifting priorities, and resolving issues as the new system beds in. You’ll support the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger and invoice processing for FitFlop accounts globally.
The Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and employee expenses.
Obtain invoice authorisations in line with internal procedures.
Support BACS and manual payment runs.
Support month-end cut-offs.
Maintain and reconcile purchase ledger accounts.
Reconcile supplier statements.
Raise purchase orders and match against invoices.
Set up new supplier accounts.
Process factory invoices and reconcile related queries.
Support ad-hoc tasks and project work, including system improvements.
The Person:
Essential:
Experience in accounts payable (or a similar finance role).
NetSuite experience (hands-on use in an operational AP setting).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Confident communicator at all levels.
Highly agile and adaptable, comfortable working through change and shifting priorities.
Desirable:
Experience supporting an ERP transition/implementation (e.g., system change, process redesign, data cleansing, testing/UAT, and issue resolution).
Experience with Concur.
Experience with Navision.
Multi-currency experience.
