Email Marketing Manager

We are looking for an experienced Email Marketing Manager to own and execute FitFlop’s email marketing strategy. This role will be responsible for driving customer retention, increasing engagement, and maximising customer lifetime value through personalised, data-driven communication strategies across email, SMS, and other CRM channels.
The Responsibilities:
- Support Senior CRM Manager in developing and implementing the email marketing strategy to drive customer retention and loyalty, ensuring alignment with FitFlop’s overall marketing and business goals.
- Lead the planning, briefing and execution of newsletter campaigns that align with brand identity, creative guidelines and engage subscriber and drive traffic.
- Drive customer segmentation and personalisation across email and SMS, leveraging data and build tools to create tailored experiences.
- Build and optimise a suite of customer lifecycle programs that target customers with the right message, at the right time on multiple touchpoints.
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics (KPIs) such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and retention metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Own database management, ensuring data integrity, compliance with GDPR/CCPA regulations, and the effective use of customer insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including digital marketing, trading, merchandising and creative
- Partner with creative teams to develop compelling email and SMS content that aligns with brand identity and drives engagement.
- Work closely with merchandising teams to align CRM campaigns with stock availability, promotions, and product launches.
- Oversee A/B Testing & Optimisation roadmap – Test different automation strategies, email subject lines, and personalization approaches to maximize engagement.
- Share the building of email and SMS campaigns with the CRM Executive when needed.
The Person:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced similar email marketing or retention marketing role, preferably within the retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods industry. Ability to react quickly to changing messages, stock, and promotions.
- Skilled user of email marketing platforms (e.g., Bloomreach, Movable Ink, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Braze, or similar CRM tools).
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams across multiple projects
- A passion for customer experience, retention, and loyalty marketing, with a test-and-learn mindset.
- Experience in customer segmentation, personalisation, and A/B testing to optimise campaign performance.
- Understanding of data-driven marketing, including CRM analytics, customer journey mapping, and reporting.
- Knowledge of compliance and best practices related to GDPR, CCPA, and email/SMS marketing regulations.
- Experience working in a global or multi-market role is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
