We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our small Accounts Payable Team, working within our Global Finance department. You’ll be responsible for assisting in running the purchase ledger and all invoice processing for our FitFlop accounts across the globe.
You’ll be confident and committed to providing a great service to our accounts and our internal teams with great communication and ‘customer-service’ skills. You’ll have razor-sharp attention to detail, a knack for good process management and an eye for accuracy – nothing will get past you! As well as working collaboratively as part of a great team, you’ll also be comfortable working autonomously, using your initiative to get things done.
The Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the accurate and timely process of supplier invoices and employee expenses
- Obtaining invoice authorisations in line with our internal procedures
- Supporting with the BACS and manual payment runs
- Supporting with month end cut-offs
- Maintaining and reconciling the monthly purchase ledger accounts
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Raising purchase orders and matching them against invoices
- Setting up of new supplier accounts
- Accurate processing of factory invoices (debit and credit notes) and dealing with any related queries
- Factory invoice reconciliation
- Additional ad-hoc tasks and project work
The Person:
- You’ll already have 1-2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Experience of working with finance systems.
- Comfortable managing own workload – you’ll be happy to work both autonomously, using your initiative as well as contributing to the team.
- Keen eye for detail and passion for maintaining accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of processing employee expense claims.
- Great communication skills, confident talking to people at all levels around the business.
- Flexible and adaptable – happy to help, customer focused attitude.
- Open and keen to learn and grow.
Although it’s not essential, it would be great if you had some of the following experience:
- Experience of working with Concur.
- Experience of working with Navision.
- Experience of dealing in multiple currencies.

Work Environment:
